GROUP ONE WINNER FOR PEDIGREE DYNAMICS IMPORT
As we mentioned above, QUESTING NEW delivered a sizzling performance on Saturday (8th August) to take out the first leg of the Sao Paulos Triple Crown for three-year-old fillies on turf in South America. Questing New, the favorite in a field of 12 was ridden by Nelito Cunha for trainer Alexandre Garcia Saldanha Correa. The smart daughter of Romarin did not disappoint her supporters, pulling away to a five and three-quarter length victory over place getters Dish Dash and Ijibinha. At two years of age, Questing New won the Grande Premio Presidente Guiherme Ellis (Brz-G2) and ran third in the Grande Premio Joao Cecilio Ferraz (Brz-G1). She came into Saturdays Brazilian Classic off a fourth-place finish in the Grande Premio Margarida Polak Lara (Brz-G1) on June 27. We currently have Questing New for sale and she is undoubtedly a fantastic racing and breeding prospect. She is out Brazilian 2004-05 Champion 3YO Filly LOVING NEW (by Choctaw Ridge), also a winner of this race in 2004. LOVING NEW was purchased and imported to Australia through Pedigree Dynamics in 2007. LOVING NEW delivered a strapping Stratum colt for her proud owners Bellagio Lodge last year and she is currently in foal to FLYING SPUR. The Triple Crown series continues with the September 5th Grande Premio Henrique de Toledo Lara (Brz-G1) over 1800 meters on turf.
