Domesday's a Real Family Man

While planning  a mating for a client recently, I noticed that the regally bred Domesday is already demonstrating an affinity to his own tail female line. A member of the illustrious TORPENHOW family, his relations include sires Redoute's Choice, Al Maher, El Gran Senor, Masterclass, Nijinsky II, Xaar, Try My Best, Spinning World, Umatilla, and Hurricane Sky.  The Minstrel, damsire of Domesday's broodmare sire Zafonic, is also from this line.
Heading his highly promising first crop of two year olds is PRESSDAY.  A triple Group winner including the Group One TJ Smith Classic, he is out of a Kaaptive Edition mare out of a mare by Upper Nile.  While neither of these may ring any loud bells, Upper Nile is by Nijinsky II, therefore creating line breeding to TORPENHOW.
His stakes placed son Domesky is more overt about it - his sire Masterclass is not only a half brother to Domesday's granddam, but his sire The Minstrel is also from this family.  The Minstrel is duplicated and sex balanced in Domesky's mating.
Now with four stakes performers to-date, I think it's pretty significant that 50% reinforce this one family!
